The Joint-stock company "The stamp" has produced 5000 copies of postcard with the image of the ship on which the international sea expedition "Arctic floating University" has been being held for the 6 years already. This year it sailed away from Arkhangelsk on the 8th of July.
The "Arctic floating University" is a scientific and educational project, where young researchers of the Arctic gain knowledge and skills in the real conditions of northern seas.
The research ship of the Federal service for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring of Russia "Professor Molchanov" was depicted in the picture that was taken by photograph Nikolay Garnet, who is a finalist of the photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society "The Most beautiful country".
The research ship "Professor Molchanov", which accommodates a laboratory for scientific research and a practical base for the training of researchers, meets all international environmental standards, that allow to perform long expedition routes in the Arctic.
The project "Arctic floating University" is implemented with the support of the Russian Geographical Society. Now the travel diaries of members of the ninth expedition are prepared for publication. Do not miss the news!
