Starting October 15, you can meet a sea otter, an eagle and a walrus in the Culture, Art and Leisure Center in Gelendzhik. An exhibition of pictures by the Most Beautiful Country photo contest participants opened there on October 15. 

The Most Beautiful Country photo contest is an annual event, a large-scale media project of the Russian Geographical Society aimed at preserving the nature of Russia and promoting an attitude of care towards the environment. It was first held in 2015. About 400 thousand pictures have been uploaded to the website of the contest for 4 years.  There are neither age nor location limits to enter the contest. The main condition is that photos submitted to the contest should have been taken in the territory of Russia.

Municipality head Alexey Bogodistov, Chairman of the City Duma Mikhail Dimitriev, Chairman of the Gelendzhik local branch of the Krasnodar regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society  Julia attended the opening ceremony. Residents and guests of Gelendzhik also visited the opening of the exhibition.

Works of this photo contest participants are regularly exhibited in Russia and other countries. So, in the Krasnodar region, their works have already been exhibited in Armavir, Ust-Labinsk, Abrau-Durso and other cities.

The exhibition in Gelendzhik will run through October 31.
