"Foreign view"

On November 28, in the Presidential Library named after Boris Yeltsin the results of the photo contest "Foreign view" will be summarized and the awards will be solemnly presented to the winners.

"Foreign view" is a photo contest designed to capture the contemporary social, cultural and political phenomenons of the society and to show the points of contact and interaction between the cultures of Russia and other countries of the world.

In 2014 the contest is held for the fifth time. More than 3,000 works have been submitted.

Each year the Presidential Library's creative competition is dedicated to a specific topic. This year's theme was "The Power of People's Diplomacy". The first category (there are eight in total) got the same name. The category called "Brazil: Distant and Close" is devoted to the World Cup. To participate in the category "The Man and the Digital Age" it was necessary to submit photos that reflect the importance of new technologies in people's lives. Photos about travels are presented in the category "The Attraction of the Unknown: Theme of the Road". "Listening to the Language of Nature" tells about the natural world in other countries. "Revived footage" is dedicated to the places where the shooting of famous films took place. There is a special category for users of social networks called "People's Vote" and professional photographers competed in the special category called "Master Class".
