The foreign view

The Presidential library named after Boris Yeltsin supported by the Russian Geographical Society announced the launch of an international photo contest «Foreign view». The dates of the contest – from the 6th of July to the 1st of November, 2016. The photo contest will be held under the motto «Cinema - it's true» (timed to the Year of Russian cinema).

There are eight nominations in the «Foreign view» contest, including «Kinodok» - reportage images of the key events of the past and present centuries, and «The street on the screen» for the authors, working in the genre of street photograph. To participate there are accepted photos, made by citizens outside of their state (for instance, the works, shot by the Russians abroad, and the pictures made by the foreigners during their visit to Russia.

One of the categories is a regional geographic annually. For six years the participants works have covered Japan, Korea, Germany, Holland, Brazil, Austria. The geographic nomination «Through the West to the East» is dedicated to China and Greece this year.

Special nomination of 2016, «I love you, Siberia», established in cooperation with the Tyumen region administration and regional media, is dedicated to the one of the mostextensive and mysterious regions of Russia. The works, sent for the contest, will enable the viewer to see Siberia with the eyes of foreign travelers.

We should remind you, that the photo works, dedicated to Russia, regardless of the nationality of their authors, may participate in the photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society «The most beautiful country». You may apply your works for participation in the contest till the 1st of August.
