There is a novel, which was read by many generations of the citizens of our country among the books issued this year, - «On the edge of the Ussuri. Dersu Uzala». Wonderful nature of the region and the adventures of the famous explorer Vladimir Arsenyev are described in his work.

«The mountain country from the bird's flight! What a beauty! Wherever you look, the mountains are everywhere: their tops, peaked,  as cockscombs,  then smooth as a plateau, then domed, were hiding behind each other, then they were going away, and seemed to be dissolved in the mist», - Vladimir Arsenyev said about the nature of Sikhote-Alin.

The book of Petr Kozlov «Tibet and the Dalai Lama. The dead city of Hara-Hoto» is presented in the series as well. The disciple and follower of Nikolay Przewalskiy dedicated his life to the scientific development of vast areas of the Asian continent.

«The grandiose nature of Asia, appearing in the form of endless forests and tundra of Siberia, then waterless deserts of Gobi, then huge mountain ranges inland and thousand miles rivers, flowing in all directions from here, marked itself with the same spirit of overwhelming massiveness in the vast highlands, filling the southern half of the central part of this continent and known under the name of Tibet», - Petr Kozlov writes.

The young readers will surely be captivated by the book «The sailing of the navy captain Fedor Litke around the world and across the Arctic Ocean». Famous sailor, admiral, geographer, founder and a long-term head of the Russian Geographical Society F.P.Litke visited many corners of the globe, but his heart remained in the cold Arctic ice forever.
