A Great Trip across Russia

Exhibition "The great journey of Domodedovo. Unknown" has opened in Moscow Domodedovo international airport. Photos for this exhibition were provided by the Russian Geographical Society. These are the works of the participants of the first, second and third photo contest "The most beautiful country", as well as images by wildlife photographer Sergei Gorshkov.

The exhibition is dedicated to the mysterious, full of miracles places located in the territory of Russia. They show amazing, "magical" natural phenomena and objects. Stone giants on the plateau of Manpupuner, Ice Mountains near the land of Franz Josef, air frozen in the ice of the Multin lakes like bubbles of champagne. A lot of myths and legends are connected with these places.

Each photo has a detailed description, its story, as well as information about how to get to the place where it was taken by flights of Domodedovo airport.

 The exhibition will run through September 5.

The Most Beautiful Country is an annual event, an important media project of the Russian Geographical Society. Each year it attracts thousands of photographers. The contest is dedicated to the preservation of Russia’s wildlife. It was first held in 2015. Since that time more than 400 thousand images have been downloaded to website at photo.rgo.ru. There is neither age nor place of residence limits for participants. The main condition to submit photos to the contest is that they should be taken in the territory of Russia.
