Take part in the competition for the right to pass an internship at the Executive Directorate of the Russian Geographical Society. Within the framework of the program, young men and women learn how to organize events, develop educational projects and work with archival materials, replenish knowledge in various geographical areas and receive a document on the passage of internship.
The internship program in the Russian Geographical Society has been open since 2017. It can be attended by anyone with an average special, higher or incomplete higher education at the age of 18 to 25 years.
For this year, about ten young and enterprising children joined the team of the Russian Geographical Society, each of them took up their professional niche in the Executive Directorate of the Society.
- My main task is to develop a program of psychological and educational training for the events of the Society, and, in particular, the Youth club of the Society, - Nadezhda Pavlova, former trainee and current employee of the Executive Directorate of the Society, tells. - This is a very interesting work, it is always nice to invent something from scratch and replenish your knowledge, studying profile literature and communicating with specialists.

- Recently I was asked to evaluate a toy trot, made specifically for the Russian Geographical Society. My objective was to determine whether the appearance of the toy matches the real appearance of the beast. It turned out that not: it was disproportionate and the color did not resemble the real. In this lynx turned out very sweet! It is a pity that I had to make a verdict - to remake.
The representative of the youth club of the Russian Geographical Society in Vladimir region Antonina Kolomiets took part in the organization of scientific events, she chose this direction independently.
- I was engaged in the educational program of the Russian Geographical Society, which consists of 10 webinars on various topics in the field of management, organization, psychology and other. The goal of the program is to train the leaders of the youth clubs of the key competencies of the Russian Geographical Society so that in the future they could disseminate the acquired knowledge in their regions, - Antonina Kolomiets tells.
However, it is worth noting that before working on the work of your dream, young people have to master other areas of activity. First of all, it is help in holding major events of the Society: Geographic dictation, the Festival of the Russian Geographical Society, Youth gathering. The guys work with archival materials and various documents, create booklets, brochures and suchlike.

- Usually, at the initial stage, this is an office work, without which there is not a single major event. But to become a part of the development of such projects as the Festival of the Russian Geographical Society is an opportunity to get pleasure from the fact that you contributed to such a large-scale event, - Antonina Kolomiets emphasizes.
- I was engaged in resettlement of volunteers at the Festival. It was necessary to take into account everything: sex, age, to anticipate the expectations of the children, - Nadezhda Pavlova notes. - It was thanks to this work that I learned to overcome problems in communication, when someone is dissatisfied with something, and a person should be reassured or, on the contrary, scoffed, but do it tactfully so that the volunteer does not lose the desire to work.
