There days there is being held the Sixth Congress of the International Union for Nature Protection in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii (the United States). 170 counties, including Russia, are taking part in it. The global economical problems and joint ways of solving them are being discussed at the biggest in number and geography of the participants forum. The experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the specialists from the Rosprirodnadzor (The Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources), and experts from 24 wildlife sanctuaries and national parks as well are presenting our country at the Congress.
The International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) - is the biggest international ecological organization. It was founded in 1948. The organization joins 82 countries (Russia is amongst them as well), more than 1300 governmental and non-governmental organizations, about 15 000 volunteer experts from 185 countries of the world. Every 4 years the IUCN holds the world ecological congress, many countries of the world take part in it. It was held in Spain in 2008, and in the South Korea in 2012.
There was held a lot of events within the frames of the forum, they were dedicated to the environmental topics, including the round table «The young professionals in the field of nature protection – the experience, ideas and knowledge exchange».

The delegates from Russia, Australia, New Zeland, the United States, the Great Britain, Peru, Gabon, India, Mexico, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Colombia, Japan, Canada, Fiji, Guinea-Bissau, Cook Islands took part in the discussion. The participants of the meeting discussed the problems of the reserve system and identified the areas of international cooperation. The experts from the Kronotsky reserve and from the Kuril reserve, from the «Bryansk forest», and from the following national parks: «The Curonian Spit», the «Land of the Leopard» and Kenozersky, having noted the trend, common to all the protected areas of the world: that in spite of the difficult working conditions, the percent of young professionals is growing every year in the staff of the reserves and national parks.

According to the words of the Russian delegates, taking into consideration, that the year of 2017 in our country is announced to be the Year of ecology, and at the same time that is the year of centenary year of the national conservation system, and a number of international youth congresses and exchange will take place on the territory of Russia.
