Most Beautiful Country in Qatar

An exhibition of works by the finalists of the Most Beautiful Country photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society, dedicated to the year of culture of Qatar and Russia 2018, is now open in the Amphitheatre of the village of cultural heritage of Qatar (Katara Cultural Village Amphitheater) in Doha. The exhibition presents unique pictures of natural and cultural attractions of this country.

The “Most Beautiful Country” is an annual event, a large-scale media project of the Russian Geographical Society aimed at preserving the nature of Russia and promoting an attitude of care towards the environment. It was first held in 2015. About 400 thousand pictures have been uploaded to the website of the contest for 4 years. There are neither age nor location limits to enter the contest. The main condition is that photos submitted to the contest should have been taken in the territory of Russia. 

Submissions to the V Most Beautiful Country photo contest are now open on the website: photo.rgo.ru. You can register and submit your photos to the contest.

Works of photo contest participants are regularly exhibited in Russia and other countries. They have already visited such countries as Argentina, America, China, France, Italy, Serbia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and others.

The exhibition in Doha will run through October 11, 2018.

Moreover, October 5, a free concert of the choir of the Moscow Sretensky monastery at took place in the Katara Cultural Village Amphitheater. The legendary choir founded in 1397 performed Russian, Ukrainian and Cossack folk songs, wartime songs and popular romances.
