The 23rd of July there will take place the Day of the Russian Geographical Society in the park of the capital «Krasnaya Presnya». The guests of the fete will become the participants of master-classes, they will see the photo exhibition of the Russian Geographical Society, will get acquainted with the drawings of the famous explorer N.N.Miklukho-Maklay, will have an opportunity to train their memory, playing in the «Memory» game, will make selfy with a walrus and polar bear, and also they will have an opportunity to take part in the competition on collecting a spiel map of Russia.
A creative training in quartz painting starts at 12:00. An artist Alexander Nartov will help the adults and the children to touch a new direction in art, which combines sculpture and painting.

The guests of the fiesta will have an opportunity to listen to the lecture of the employee of the Institute of Ecology and Evolution named after A.N.Severtsev of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the member of the Russian Geographical Society Natalia Shumeiko about the project on protection of the Caspian seal at 12:30. All the visitors of the Day of the Russian Geographical Society will be offered to take part in the international selfy-action in defense of a rare animal. The best pictures will be exhibited at an exhibition dedicated to the Caspian seal, in Moscow and the Caspian cities.
The travelers and photographers will get the guests of the event acquainted with amazing corners of our country. Thus, at 14:00 Vitaly Kazakov will read a lecture on why it is worth visiting the Subpolar Urals and seeing some of the oldest mountains on our planet. Anton Agarkov will tell about the Baikal Lake and about the people, living on the shore of the deepest lake on our planet. Then the team of young explorers «The degrees of discoveries» will share their impressions about the «The Wonderful World of the Stanovoye Plateau» in Transbaikalia and Buryatia.
