On October 31, 2014 the solemn opening of the first Festival of the Russian Geographical Society will be held in Moscow. For the first time in almost 177—year history of the Society, an event of such scale is taking place. Each day of the Festival will be dedicated to a specific theme and will differ from the previous one.
