RGS Presents Its Projects at IGU-2018

The regional conference of the International Geographical Union IGU-2018 is now held Quebec (Canada) from 6 to 10 August. The program of the event includes an exhibition, where the Russian Geographical Society is present at stand number 9.

The International Geographical Union (IGU) is an international scientific association of geographers. Each year it holds a regional conference. The event is considered a key event in the industry and traditionally attracts thousands of scientists from around the world..

At the exhibition the Russian Geographical Society provides information about its history and projects. Visitors to the exhibition can see works of the participants of the Most Beautiful Country photo contest, put together geo puzzles and train memory with "Memory" cards with drawings by Miklukho-Maclay and images by Gustav Pauli on them.

We remind you that in order to support Russian young specialists, the Russian Geographical Society provides an opportunity to get a refund of costs associated with conference.

Please note: the right for reimbursement can be used by speakers under 35. A participant interested in a refund should contact employees of the Executive Directorate working at the exhibition stand and provide them with copies of documents confirming the registration fee payment and participation in the conference with an oral report.

On the basis of competitive selection of speakers, the Society will choose winners. The refund amount will be defined by the Society.
