Russian Churches in Babushkinsky Park

On the eve of Easter holidays, an exhibition of the Russian Geographical Society, "Temples of Russia", is open in Babushkinsky Park in Moscow. The exhibition consists of works of participants in the Most Beautiful Country photo contest.

 

Visitors will enjoy seeing amazing images of churches and monasteries of Russia, including such famous as the Solovki and Kizhi ensembles or unknown as dilapidated churches of the village of Dunilovo.

Exhibited photographs illustrate the spiritual richness of diverse regions of our country, from Arkhangelsk and Komi to Karachaevo-Cherkessia and Crimea.

The “Most Beautiful Country” is an annual event, a large-scale media project of the Russian Geographical Society aimed at preserving the nature of Russia and promoting an attitude of care towards the environment. It was first held in 2015. And it has become annual since 2016. There are neither age nor location limits to enter the contest. The main condition is that photos submitted to the contest should have been taken in the territory of Russia.

The exhibition will run through April 26, 2018. Free admission.
