The Undersea Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society together with the Expeditionary Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will take part in the search and rescue operations at the site of the fall of the Tu-154 in Sochi.
Loading of the equipment is being executed at the moment, that equipment will be delivered by the special flight to the «Adler» airport.
There are being sent two manned submersibles of the Russian Geographical Society: C-Quester and C-Explorer for participation in the search operation. They can work continuously underwater to 8 hours, the first can work at a depth of up to 100, the second - up to 300 meters. Scientific research is being conducted with their help and also monitoring of underwater objects and rescue operations as well.
The personnel of the Expeditionary Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation under the supervision of the chief of the center Eugeniy Binyukov and the experienced divers of the Undersea Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society with the necessary equipment are involved in the rescue operation.
«Many divers form partner organizations are ready to join the search operations. The calls with suggestions of help have been received from civil specialists all the day. All are ready to make every effort», - the executive director of the Undersea Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Fokin told.
