«The Amur Tiger» has launched the project «The way of the tiger», aimed at the attraction of attention to the problem of animal protection and information of the public about the ways of its protection.
The hero of the project has already visited a dozen cities in the world, such as Astana, Paris, Cairo, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur. The tiger went around the world not only to tell about itself, but also to offer help to Russians, Europeans, Indians, Thais, Malays and Egyptians.

"We did not have a goal to demonstrate the problem so that everyone started to cry, in our opinion, people are already fed up with such a pitch when they cause pity. We decided to postpone the negative agenda, realizing that the people around the world themselves have a lot of problems, and decided to present the information in a positive way. The puppet doll of the tiger offers help to random passers-by, takes photos with them and distributes the addresses and coordinates of our Center, "says Andrey Shorshin, a spokesman for the Amur Tiger Center.

The tiger got the ID and all the documents, necessary for the journey. That caused a smile of the policemen and the staff of the airport, then the passengers of the public transport and passers-by started smiling.

"Everyone reacts differently, it depends on the person." In Paris, for example, the tiger and the company were not allowed to the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, of course, for safety reasons, but freely communicated with the townspeople in the center, one girl ran up to us , it turned out that she was Irish, she began giving us a lot of questions, taking pictures, then put the pictures to the Instagram and signed up for us. "Now we are chatting with her," says Andrei Shorshin, a spokesman for the Amur Tiger Center.

In India, the participants of the project were happy, like children. When the passers-by finally released the tiger from the embrace, our hero managed to offer the people of Mumbai their help. Volunteer was passing the old women across the road, was helping workers wear heavy baskets on their heads, was baking bread, was transporting the passengers in wagons.
Further the tiger's path lay in Kuala Lumpur, in which nothing resembled Indian hospitality. I had to look for other ways to reach the local population - the tiger began to distribute water in the park for running sporting townspeople.

The "Amur Tiger" Center is an autonomous non-profit organization created by the Russian Geographical Society in 2013 on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The objectives of the Center are to study, preserve and increase the population of the Amur tiger in Russia through the implementation of environmental, scientific, educational and cultural-educational projects.
