"Tiger" Troika Transport Cards

The Amur Tiger Center and Moscow metro will issue a limited edition of Troika transport cards with the image of a striped predator. The action is dedicated to the international tiger day, celebrated on July 29, and the fifth anniversary of the Center. The goal of this limited edition issue is to draw attention to the problem of conservation of this rare animal.

The Amur tiger is the largest and most Northern subspecies of the tiger. In total, there are less than 600 individuals of this wild cat in the world. About 95% of the Amur tiger population lives in Russia.

3000 copies of "tiger" cards will be issued. The cards will be sold at ticket offices of the Moscow metro starting July 29, 2018.

The Amur Tiger Center is a non-profit organization founded by the Russian Geographical Society on the initiative of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2013. The center is engaged in study and preservation of the Amur tiger population in Russia.
