There was held the Youth meeting of the Russian Geographical Society from the 10th to the 12th of December in Moscow. The heads of the Youth clubs of the Society, open on the basis of universities, schools, centers of additional education and regional branches of the Russian Geographical Society became the participants of the Meeting.
More than 50 people from different parts of Russia, from the Republic of Crimea to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug took part in the event. They discussed the plans of work of the Youth clubs of the Russian Geographical Society in the regions for the next six months.
The honored guests of the Meeting were the First Vice-President of the Society, academician, Nikolay Kasimov and the historian, ethnographer and the member of the Russian Geographical Society, Leonid Kruglov.
The participants of the Meeting got acquainted with the activities of the Society, and with the work of the Youth clubs as well. There were organized trainings and master-classes for them on the following topics: «Building an effective team», «Event-management», «PR and media presenting of the activities», «Fundraising». The guests of the event took part in the meeting of the Youth intellectual club and intellectual games. There was held an evening tour in Moscow for them.
Besides, within the frames of the Meeting there was held the awarding of the best volunteers of the Society of 2016. They were handed in the diplomas and given the presents.

I am very glad that the Society is not revealing only Russia again, but the talents of young volunteers of our vast country», - one of the volunteers, who received the award, Vladimir Litvinov, noted.

We would like to remind you that the volunteers were helping to hold the All-Russian Congress of geography teachers, the All-Russian Geographical Dictation, the Award of the Russian Geographical Society and other events of the Society.
The Meeting was over with the protection of project documents, worked out by the participants, and giving them certificates of completion of the educational program.
