Geo Shop open in Moscow
The Russian Geographical Society has opened a shop in Moscow. Here you can find different items for travelers and researchers. The assortment meets the interests of one of the oldest geographical societies in the world: editions in hard covers containing stories about famous expeditions, diaries of famous researchers, and copies of ancient maps ... Many books have got contemporary versions. For example, the diary of Nikolay Przhevalsky is made in the form of a media guide: by pointing to a certain character with a code, you can hear the scientist’s stories about his journeys.
Shoppers would also admire works of finalists and winners of the Most Beautiful Country photo contest. These are the best images of Russia according to the opinion of the Russian Geographical Society. You can also buy these photographs – albums, large format images, calendars, puzzles and Memory game cards with photos on them.
Children would like the Memory game; they would also have a chance to learn rare animals living in Russia. They will be fond of toy animals: polar bears, tigers and snow leopards.
Both children and adults will enjoy a breath-taking attraction in the center of the shop – a binocular. Looking into it, one would think that he is standing near the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano or near the Valley of Geysers on Kamchatka.

Experienced travelers will find rucksacks, thermoses, T-shirts, sweatshirts with the logo of the Russian Geographical Society, as well as notebooks and postcards that can be sent to friends from different parts of the world.
