Mikhail Novikov notes: “a set of old postcards dating back to the beginning of the XX century with hunting scenes was found in an antique shop in Murmansk. These cards are regarded as a historical document, an interesting evidence of a bygone era.  The postmarks specify the year of mailing and receiving the correspondence, as well as the address of the recipient.  Having read the simple notes and brought the pieces of information together, we managed to learn something new about well-known things and catch a glimpse at the life of people in the Far East of the Russian Empire”.

The authors of the article decided to donate part of their postcards collection mentioned in the article Museum of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev.
