The reception of applications for the "Crystal Compass" national award has begun. In 2023, the authors of the most outstanding achievements and unique projects in the field of science and culture, expedition and educational activities, preservation and popularization of natural and historical and cultural heritage will receive statuettes made of crystal and silver for the 11th time. The winners of the 10th anniversary prize were awarded on December 8, 2022 in Moscow.
Everyone is invited to participate in the application campaign: scientific and educational institutions, creative unions, domestic and foreign organizations, enterprises of various fields, as well as independent initiative groups, public figures and individuals. Applications are accepted until February 20.
The winners will be determined in 10 categories: "Scientific Achievement", "Journey and Expedition", "Enlightenment", "The Best Mass Media Project, Media project", "Photo Work", "Citizenship", "Publication", "The Best Regional Project", "The Best Social and Informational Project for the Preservation of Natural and Historical and Cultural Heritage", "The Best Environmental Project of Industrial Enterprises, Business".
After the application campaign completion, all received projects will be considered by the members of the expert council of the award at the qualification selection. The jury consists of reputable scientists, well-known state and public figures, representatives of business and the mass media.

The National Award "Crystal Compass" is a prestigious international award that is awarded to the authors of outstanding achievements and unique projects aimed at preserving the natural and historical and cultural heritage of Russia. 3312 projects and unique achievements from 44 countries of the world have been nominated for awards for 10 years. In the special category "Public Recognition", where the winner is determined by Internet voting, more than 2.3 million people expressed their preferences. The award is held under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society.

The winners of the 10th anniversary "Crystal Compass" were awarded on December 8 at the Moscow International House of Music. The ceremony became a truly grandiose event in the cultural and scientific life of the country. It brought together outstanding scientists, famous artists, public figures, authors, travelers, researchers who are not indifferent to the future of the planet from Russia, France, Serbia and other countries. The meeting was held under the motto "The course for the future!". At the end of the colorful ceremony, the premiere of the song "Crystal Compass" performed by the children's ensemble "Malenkaya Strana" (Rus. “Little Country”) took place. The famous poet Ilya Reznik wrote it specially for the anniversary of the award.
The ceremony was held with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. Gazprom and Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar LLC were the strategic partners of the project. The project partners are the company OTEKO, the ESG laboratory of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the style partner is the company Indever.
