The 13th of November there is over the receipt of applications for the contest, the winners of which will be able to take part in the work of the second Arctic students` forum.
The names of ten winners will be announced on the website of the Russian Geographical Society the 28th of November. They will be given a target grant for participation in the Arctic students` forum within the frames of the conference «The Arctic frontiers – 2017».
The students – delegates will take part in the political scientific session, will listen to three days course of lections of the teachers of the University Arctic and will visit cultural events within the frames of work of the forum. Besides, they will protect the integrated project in front of an international jury, the project is dedicated to the perspectives of development of the Arctic region.
The competition was organized by the Russian Geographical Society and by Norwegian research company «Akvaplan Niva». The undergraduate and graduate students were invited to participate. There were received about one hundred applications from different regions of Russia in general.
The event will take place in Norway, in Tromso, from the 20th to 25th of January, 2017 within the frames of international conference «The Arctic frontiers – 2017».
