The Russian Geographical Society and Norwegian research company «Akvaplan-Niva» are announcing the contest for participation in the work of the Third students` forum within the frames of the international conference «The Arctic Frontiers» (Arctic Frontiers Student Forum). The event will take place in Tromsø (Norway) from 18 to 25 January 2018.

Bachelor and Master students of Russian universities can take part in the competition. 10 winners will receive a targeted grant to participate in the forum. The students - delegates of the «Arctic frontiers» will participate in thematic seminars, roundtables, meetings of the conference sessions and cultural events. The purpose-oriented grant is intended to cover the direct costs of a flight from Moscow to the venue of the forum and back, accommodation, meals, payment of a registration fee for participation in the Student Forum.

To participate in the competition there are required: enthusiasm for Arctic research, positive academic performance, fluency in English, presentation of abstracts, availability of valid foreign passport. The application form for participation in the competition (the form is attached) and an essay describing the subject of research of the contestant (500 words) in English should be sent by e-mail to the addresses of Sergey.Katikov

The finalists of the contest will have to pass an interview in English.
