The Russian Geographical Society would like to present the second All-Russian contest «Best guide of Russia».
Are you fond of travelling? Do you know interesting facts about your native city or region? Would you like to prepare a guided tour of the cultural sights of your region to show all its beauty to the whole country? Then the «Best guide of Russia» is for you. All that you need is to make a two-minute video in Russian, containing a bright story about a wonderful attraction in your region (cultural attraction, special museum, natural sight of interest).
All guides with different experiences from professional to amateur can take part in the contest.
Winners will be chosen in 5 categories:
- Professional Guide. Museum;
- Professional Guide. City;
- Professional Guide. Route-maker.
- Guide-amateur.
- Guide-amateur. Under 18.
Winners will get a unique chance to become characters of films on "My Planet» TV channel, and their author's excursions will be watched by the whole country! Best guides in main categories will get cash prizes of 100,000 rubles. A winner in the category for young people under 18 will get a professional camera.
Submissions are open through July 31, 2018. Upload your video stories to a file-sharing site and publish a link to it on the official page of the Russian Geographical Society in Vkontakte. The hashtag # ЛучшийГидРоссии (#bestguideofrussia) is required.
This year the jury will consist of: Alexander Osipov, the President of the Association of Guides, Interpreters and Tour managers; Viktor Kruzhalin, the vice-chairman of the Russian Geographical Society Commission on the development of tourism; Valdis Pelsh, a TV person and author of documentary films; John Warren, a TV showman; Nikolay Tabashnikov, the chief editor of "My Planet" TV channel; Anastasia Chernobrovina, the Advisor to the President of the Russian Geographical Society on Information Policy; Tatiana Bukharina, a TV presenter and Chairman of the Association of Guides in Crimea; Ekaterina Leshchanova, the President of the Nizhny Novgorod Association of Tour Guides; Zetta Ermakova, the head of the Public Association of Guides and Tour Guides of Sochi; and other experts.
The contest is organized together with «My Planet» TV Channel, with support of Vkontakte.
