Birthday of Russian Geographical Society Center in Serbia

October 16, the celebratory evening to mark the two years of work of the Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia was held. The event took place in Great Hall of the Russian Center for Science and Culture, "Russian house" in Belgrade. Representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Serbia, members of the Board of Trustees of the Center, heads of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, and deputies of the Parliament of the Republic attended the evening.

Welcome remarks were made by Director of the Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia, Vice-President of the Serbian Geographical Society Miroljub Milincic. He noted that the work of the Center contributes to the development of bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia.

Welcome addresses to the participants were also made by Executive Director of the Russian Geographical Society Artem Manukyan and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Center Dusan  Bajatovic.

An interesting program was organized for the guests. In addition, the Russian House organized an exhibition of works by participants of the Most Beautiful Country photo contest.

The Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia was founded in 2016. It is aimed at popularizing geography, preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Russia and Serbia, conducting environmental, educational, research and other activities to develop the potential of the two countries.
