The 13th of August, 2016 there was open the IV-th Summer School of the Russian Geographical Society at the Moscow headquarters of the Society.  The main events are being held in the «Ethnomir» park (Kaluga region).

Thus, the first working day of the School, the 14th of August, was started with the excursion in the cultural and educational center «Ethnomir». There participants had an opportunity to know a lot about the types of dwellings of the peoples of the world: Mongolian yurts, Russian log hut ad other, familiar from the books and movies.

The First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society, the President of the Faculty of Geography of the Lomonosov Moscow State University academician Nikolay Kasimov made a welcoming speech, opening the scientific program of the School. His lecture on the opening day was dedicated to the landscape geochemistry and to the geochemistry of the environment. After that the Chairman of the Tver regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, Rector of the Tver State University professor Andrey Belotserkovsky read a lecture on the theme «Change of climate: myths and reality».

The program of the afternoon of August 14 was more practical. The head of «Ethnomir» Ruslan Bairamov told about the development of the domestic tourism in Russia, and the consultant on organizational development and corporate culture Maxim Shakotin held the «Presentation skills development of their project» training.

In the coming days (the Forth summer school of the Russian Geographical Society works till the 21st of August) master-classes, lectures, seminars on theoretical and organizational issues await for the participants of the School again. They will get to know about the modern methods of the geographical research, will discuss at the round table the perspectives of the development of the Russian cities, and will speak over the organization of ecologic and social projects, development of the tourism business and the intricacies of research funding as well.

We are wishing the teachers and the participants of the IVth Summer School of the Russian Geographical Society success, new acquaintances, breakthroughs and insights!
