An appropriate drifting ice floe has been found for the building of the "North Pole - 2019" ice research station. This was reported by representatives of the official partner of the Russian Geographical Society - the airline "AeroGeo".
The coordinates of the ice: 89°29′N 149°56′E.
The arrangement of the camp at the ice station began. Polar explorers are waiting for the aircraft with fuel and equipment to begin the building of the runway for the cargo and passenger boards arriving.

Every year, the huge ice floe becomes the center for high-latitude expeditions and a tourist place for a month for those who want to conquer the North Pole.
Two crews of Ми-8T helicopters of "AeroGeo" airline patrol the territory, make excursion routes to the geographical point of the North Pole, and air cargo for numerous expeditions.
