We invite teams of school students to take part in the XIV All-Russian Intellectual Competition "The Bluest in the World ..." dedicated to the International Day of the Black Sea. The contenders for the victory will have to solve geographical problems, solve anagrams, work with maps, and also perform an exciting creative task.
The contest "The Bluest in the World..." has been held by the Krasnodar Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society since 2010. During this time, more than 8,000 school students from 60 regions of Russia have become its participants. The main goal of the project is the intellectual and personal development of the younger generation, environmental education, formation of an active civic position, as well as the involvement of young people in real activities for the study and protection of the Black Sea, natural resources, and cultural heritage of the Black Sea countries, the development of tourism and humanitarian cooperation.
“The contest ‘The Bluest in the World ...’ annually gathers hundreds of teams from all over the country. With this project, we draw the attention of children to the ecological holiday, and together we try to find solutions and create projects to preserve the ecosystem of the Black Sea, historical and cultural sites, to develop tourism and humanitarian cooperation. Also, traditionally, our partners and us have prepared special gifts for the winners of the competition," said Ivan Chaika, the head of the jury of the competition, Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
Participants need to familiarize themselves with the Regulations on the competition, send an application with a photo of the team, and answer questions of the first correspondence round by filling out an electronic form in the period from September 5 to September 25, 2023.
The competition includes two correspondence rounds and a final, to which the teams with the maximum number of points will be invited.
The final of the contest "The Bluest in the World ..." will be held at the end of October. The finalists will be informed about the time and place of the competition additionally.
