The exhibition of the Kostroma Branch of the Russian Geographical Society “The Divine Fleet” began work on November 23 at the largest educational institution in Western India – St. Xavier's College. The organizer of the exhibition, dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter the Great, was the Russian House in Mumbai.

The exhibition presents a description of the life and work of Peter the Great, as well as stands with images of ships of the Russian sailing fleet, accompanied by the history of their names and fate. The author of the paintings is Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, holder of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, member of the Russian Geographical Society.

All paintings by Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov are united by one theme. They depict Russian ships named after Orthodox saints. Hence the name of the exhibition – "The Divine Fleet".
