The 25th of August there will be shown Documentary "Yenisei" from the "Big Water" cycle. The film is created with the grant support of the Russian Geographical Society.
The authors of the picture took a boat from the upper Yenisei to the mouth, far beyond the Arctic Circle, to learn the legend of the Taymyr dragon. On the way to the north, to the Nenets, storing ancient legends, the film crew visited places that justify comparing the Yenisei with the "master of Siberia".
The viewers will get to know about the traditions of fisheries, the legend of the Arctic, the northernmost locality of continental Russia – the Dickson Island, as well as the history of the construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station. The team will visit the difficult stretch of the river - Kazachinsky rapids. Film screening will begin at 20:00. Free admission.

As our readers already know, on the streets and boulevards of Moscow, in the capital's parks, one can also admire the works of the winners and finalists of the photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country". There are working nine exhibitions of the Russian Geographical Society in the city at the present moment.
In the Park of Culture and Leisure "Perovski" (Lazo st., V. 7) till the 31st of August there have been presented the works of the finalists and the winners of the competition «The most beautiful country» in the nomination «The animals of Russia».
In the estate Vorontsovo (Vorontsovsky Park, 3) till the 8th of September there is working the photo exhibition «Picturesque macrocosm».
In the Park of Culture and Rest "Lianozovsky" (Uglichskaya Street, 13) – there is being held the exhibition «Preserved Russia».
In the Park named after Artem Borovik (Bratislava Street, 12) – till the 31st there is being held the exhibition «Preserved Russia».
The photographs of the winners and finalists of the photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country" can be seen in the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin (until August 31), in the third terminal of the Vnukovo Airport (before September the 1st) and in the restaurant "Coffeemania" (Bolshaya Nikitskaya st., 13 - until the 31st of August).
In addition, until August 27 there is an exhibition in the Park of Arts "Museon", dedicated to the whales - "The Lords of the Seas," and there is an exhibition of "Caves of Russia" on the Nikitsky Boulevard until September the 1st.
