Sixteen students of the faculty of geography of the University of Belgrade arrived in Russia to take part in practice for international exchange. It is a result of the cooperation agreement between the Russian and Serbian geographical societies. The event is being held from the 8th of July to the 18th of July.
The cooperation agreement between the geographical societies of Russia and Serbia was signed at the Festival of the Russian Geographical Society in October of 2014. In the year of 2016 there was open the Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia.
We should remind you that in summer of 2016 there was held the First year geography and environmental practice on the basis of the geographical faculty of Belgrade University, which is located on the Kopaonik mountain. The Serbian children were welcoming their peers – the students of the faculty of natural sciences, geography and tourism of the Pushkin Leningrad State University.
This research, conducted in the largest mountain range of Serbia, which is being of a great interest for scientists and researchers in spite of its «young» age, - had impressed the Russian students much.
In July of this year the guests from Belgrade will spend two weeks in Pushkin. A rich program of summer practice is prepared for them. They will deal with economic, physical and social questions of geography.
Within the frames of the summer practice there will be organized a study tour to the Pskov region for Serbian guests, where they will visit the Pskov Kremlin, Pskov-Pechersky monastery and the Izborsk fortress.
