On May 19, in Beijing, at the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an exhibition of the winners of the 3rd photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society «The Most Beautiful Country” will be open. Inhabitants of the Celestial Empire will be able to admire unique images of wild animals, the underwater world, natural and cultural attractions of Russia.

The exhibition in Beijing will be held within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Geographical Society and the Chinese Geographical Society. Recall that in 2014, the organizations signed an agreement on cooperation.

The photo contest «The most beautiful country» is one of the most vivid and large-scale media projects of the Russian Geographical Society. It is held since 2015 and attracts thousands of photographers from all over the world, taking pictures of Russian nature. Last year 52 thousand pictures were sent to the contest, of which the authoritative jury selected 70 best ones.
To make them, photographers had to climb into the air and descend to the depths of the sea, spend hours hunting down animals and birds. And all this not only to show the beauty, richness and diversity of the wild nature of Russia, but also to draw attention to environmental problems and the conservation of rare species of animals.
