An exhibition of photos by participants in the Most Beautiful Country photo contest organized by the Russian Geographical Society and supported by the Russian Embassy in Buenos Aires was opened in Argentina. The exhibition is held in the White Hall of the National Congress of Argentina, and it includes 50 unique works of the participants in the III photo contest.
The “Most Beautiful Country” is an annual event, a large-scale media project of the Russian Geographical Society aimed at preserving the nature of Russia and promoting an attitude of care towards the environment. It was first held in 2015. About 400 thousand pictures have been uploaded to the website of the contest for 4 years. There are neither age nor location limits to enter the contest. The main condition is that photos submitted to the contest should have been taken in the territory of Russia. Works of photo contest participants are regularly exhibited in Russia and other countries.
The exhibition was opened by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation Dmitry Feoktistov. He noted the exceptional importance of the exhibition in the year of the decade of strategic partnership between Russia and Argentina. According to the Ambassador, such cultural projects strengthen friendship between peoples and really bring the continents closer.
The first visitors to the exhibition in the capital of Argentina were representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the diplomatic corps of the country, residents and guests of the city, including compatriots living in Argentina.
The exhibition will run through September 30.
