The Russian Geographical Society announces the start of the competition for the right to obtain youth Internship scholarships in 2018. The size of the scholarship is 100,000 rubles, paid at a time.
The nominations of the competition
1) «For success in scientific and educational activities in the field of geography and related sciences»
2) «For success in public activities that meet the goals and objectives of the Russian Geographical Society»
Within the nomination «For success in scientific and educational activities in the field of geography and related sciences», participants will be assessed by the number and quality of scientific publications on the list of the Higher Attestation Commission (WAC), Scopus and WoS databases indexed by the Russian Scientific Citation Index RINC). Participation of applicants in scientific and educational programs, seminars, conferences, merit and victory in competitions and olympiads, too, will go into the credit.
When submitting an application for this nomination, it is necessary to attach the recommendation of a scientist, scientific or pedagogical council of an educational organization, or a recommendation from a USSR or Russian State Prize laureate, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Manager or the Academic Council of the Society.
One of the main criteria for assessing the number of organized scientific or educational programs, festivals, conferences, seminars, contests and olympiads of various levels as a project manager or one of the performers will become one of the main criteria for evaluation in the nomination «For success in public activities meeting the goals and objectives of the Russian Geographical Society».
Participation in the events of the Russian Geographical Society, recommendations and gratitude from the leadership of the Russian Geographical Society will be a big plus to the portfolio of the applicant for winning the contest. In addition to basic social activities, sports, cultural and creative achievements will not be left without attention.
All the information provided will be checked for authenticity and compliance with geographical topics, and the inventions are about to be checked for patents. Therefore, do not forget to attach documents confirming specific achievements: certificates, certificates of the participant, the winner or the organizer, gratitude, extracts from orders, scan copies, etc.
Attention! In both nominations, achievements for the period from 1 January 2016 to the present are taken into account. Not documented successes are not counted in the evaluation of the application.
