Expedition from Bashkortostan conquered the high mountain pass (4560 m) of the Pamir. The mountain route belongs to the fourth category of complexity and is declared on the Championship of Russia on sports tourism. On the right of the first climbers the group named a steep and beautiful ice wall in honor of the Bashkir branch of the Russian Geographical Society.

Pamir is a mountain system of Central Asia, located on the territory of Tajikistan (the main part), China, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. In the Pamirs there is located the highest point of the CIS - the peak Ismoil Somoni (7495 m).

The leader of the expedition, a member of the Russian Geographical Society, Honored Traveler of Russia Oleg Lukyanov tells, that the idea to ascend the pass was added to him twenty eight years ago. After nearly three decades, the dream came to life: the summit was conquered, and the flag of the Russian Geographical Society ruts at the previously unnamed pass.

The pass of the Russian Geographical Society is located in the spur of the Zeravshan Range, in the watershed of the Golirud and Yamansu rivers (the Yagnob river basin), 600 meters to the northeast of the peak of 4658 meters. Pamiro-Alay, Republic of Tajikistan.
