Results of the competition "Birds of Russia"

Photo Contest "Birds of Russia" was organized by the Standing Environmental Commission of the Russian Geographical Society.  Application campaign was from August 22 to September 12, 2014. - Member of the Organizing committee were pleasantly surprised with the amount of materials sent: more than 500 applications for participation, including 26 in the category "Professional photography»,  297 - in "Amateur photography" and 216 - in "Children's photography" - says representative of the Organizing committee, secretary of the Standing Environmental Committee Valery Shmunk. - Now the jury faces a difficult task - to choose the best one. We have received works from different regions - from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, from the Arctic to the Caucasus, Altai and steppes Dahuria. Several photos have come from abroad, but they have birds of Russia on them.

Thus, the feathered population of all natural areas of the country was presented on the photos.

3rd place - Alex Levashkin, Nizhny Novgorod,  "Forest ghost"

1st place - Sergei Ivanov, Kirov, for "Angel" 

2nd place - Aleksey Bezrukov, Tankhoi village (Buryatia), for "Morning" 

3rd place - Sergei Ivanov, Kirov, "The Golden Cockerel"
