RGS And The Arctic Society of Finland Will Conclude A Cooperation Agreement

The agreement on cooperation between the Russian Geographical Society and the Arctic Society of Finland will be signed in St. Petersburg on April 10. The subject of the agreement will be scientific and cultural interaction in the study of the Arctic region.

The agreement will be signed within the framework of the V International Arctic Forum "The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue" in St. Petersburg. The document will be signed by First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Arthur Chilingarov and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Arctic Society of Finland Tero Vauraste.
 

The Arctic Society of Finland founded in 2012 is engaged in monitoring of the development of the Arctic region and influences the solution of issues related to the Arctic in the interests of Finland. Among the main strategic activities of the company are the monitoring of the Arctic in Finland, the Arctic vision of the country and the growth of activity in the Arctic region. In addition, the society also promotes interaction between government, community, political and business circles and the scientific community, and promotes economic, social, and environmentally sustainable peaceful development.
