RGS’s Exhibition "The Most Beautiful Country" Opens In Armenia

The opening of the exhibition "The Most Beautiful Country" took place at the Kapan Art Museum on November 3. The exhibition dedicated to National Unity Day presents unique works of participants and laureates of the photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society for the first time in Armenia.

The guests of the exhibition had the opportunity to see fascinating pictures of Russian nature taken in various parts of our country. Among the photos are the best works from the categories "Landscape", "Wild Animals", "Birds", "Elemental Magic", "Art of Wildlife" and "Russia from a Bird's Eye view".

The exhibition was prepared by the Russian Geographical Society, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Armenia in preparation for the opening of the Consulate General of our country in Kapan. The event was attended by Vice-Mayor of Kapan G. O. Tadevosyan, Chief Secretary of the Office of the Governor of the Syunik Region E. A. Martirosyan, Commander of the Meghri Border Detachment of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Armenia A. A. Shcherbakov and border guards, Deputy Consul General of Iran in Kapan A. Kerdabadi, head of the public organization of Russian compatriots in Kapan "Russians" L. A. Aghakhanyan, representatives of local socio-political and business circles.

At the event, it was announced that on November 2, the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the establishment of the Consulate General of Russia in Kapan was signed.
