The Russian Geographical Society and the Macedonian Geographical Society have concluded a cooperation agreement. In a difficult epidemiological situation, the agreement was signed online. The document was signed by the First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Nikolay Kasimov and the President of the Macedonian Geographical Society Bilyana Apostolovska Toshevska.
The agreement between the two Geographical Societies is aimed at scientific, educational and cultural cooperation, the exchange of experience and information on research in the field of geography and related sciences, conducted in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
One of the areas of joint work will be the promotion of the study, preservation and popularization of the toponymic heritage of both countries. The parties will also work together to improve the quality of education in the field of geography. If necessary, the Societies will exchange materials and archival documents related to geography.
It is planned that the Societies will conduct joint expeditions, festivals, environmental and tourism events, scientific and practical conferences, symposiums, seminars and round tables.
