Athens will host the XII International Congress of the Greek Geographical Society ICHGS-2019 from November 1 to November 4, 2019. The scientific dialogue of geographers from around the world will take place at the National Technical University of Athens.

The conference will be of assistance to the cooperation of geographers from different countries. Specialists in the field of geography, scientists and students, will be able to deepen their knowledge about the physical properties of the earth's surface and existing human societies. Congress participants will share their research and applied ideas that will address the issues of studying places, relationships between people and their environment.

Presentations made at the conference should be based on the latest geographical research. The range of topics is wide enough. Thus, participants in the congress will be able to touch on areas of scientific knowledge related to the global and local economies and the environment, population and natural resources, climate change, water resources, geomorphology, geographic education, etc. All accepted and registered articles will be published in the European Geographic Journal, which is indexed in the Scopus scientific database.
