The International working meeting on the questions of rehabilitation and reintroduction of the large predatory mammals will be held from the 25th to the 27th of November of 2015 in the Institute of Ecology and Evolution named after Alexey Severtsov of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow with the support of the Russian Geographical Society and the Center «Amur Tiger».

Within the frames of the meeting there will be presented various projects and programs on rehabilitation and reintroduction of Amur tigers, Far Eastern leopards, lynxes, lions and other large predators. The researchers and the staff of the environmental organizations of Russia, Spain, India, Germany, South African Republic, Great Britain, China, Portugal and the other countries, which are working at the questions of recovery of populations of rare species of mammals, will concern the general  problems of reintroduction, they will share their experience on the choosing of animals and the places for the reintroduction, and they will discuss the topic of cooperation with the governmental and noncommercial organizations as well.

The idea of having the meeting, dedicated to detailed considering of the question of rehabilitation and reintroduction of the large predators, germinated in the Institute named after Severtsov in the year of 2011 in the framework of the conference «The technologies of saving the rare kinds of mammals». Its main objective was to join the experience of the leading world projects on rehabilitation and reintroduction of the large predatory mammals, including those which are being executed with the support of the Russian Geographical Society and Constantly acting expedition of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the studying the animals of the Red Book of the Russian Federation.
