Showplaces of Crimea virtual tour

18 March, on the day of signing of Agreement on Accession of Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation, AirPano.ru team with the support of the Russian Geographical Society publishes online virtual tour dedicated to attractions of the Crimean Peninsula.

Spherical panoramas differs from a regular photography in that one can “turn the head” 360 degrees and browse whatever he wants. Using large screen to browse the panoramas viewer can reach full participation effect.

 

“All of the panoramas are marked on the map of Crimea. The territory is vast but we tried to demonstrate all of the main showplaces, - speaks coordinator of the project, photographer Sergey Semenov. – Viewer has a unique opportunity to look at Crimea from the bird’s eye view without leaving his home. The Swallow’s Nest, Ay-Petri, Artek, Vorontsov Palace, Genoese fortress in Sudak and ancient Bakhchysarai – this is just a short list of famous Crimean showplaces from the tour. Viewers will see Simferopol, Sevastopol, Kerch, Yalta, Koktebel, Feodosia and Alushta from unordinary perspective”.

AirPano tour is the first high quality spherical virtual tour of Crimean showplaces filmed from the air. There is also a short version of the tour called “The Best of Crimea”. It includes 16 panoramas chosen by authors of the project. Both tours were published on the website of the project: www.AirPano.ru.
