Society Will Cooperate with Kaliningrad Region

November 1, the Russian Geographical Society and the Kaliningrad region signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Artur Chilingarov and Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov.

The society and the westernmost region of the country are going to unite efforts in environmental protection, popularization of geography and education at youth of the careful attitude to nature of their native land.

Artur Chilingarov noted that the Kaliningrad region is very interesting geographically, and that many projects can be implemented in the region with the support of the Russian Geographical Society.

It should be noted that the event was held as part of the Meeting of the Council of Regions of the Russian Geographical Society in Kaliningrad. During the meeting, representatives of regional branches of the Society discussed the results of work of 2018 and defined main activities for the next year.
