In 2023, the RGS specialists will test water from 100 springs in different regions of Russia. The sites of 10 of them will be improved. Which ones will be chosen by the residents of the country by voting. As a result, a unified network of well-maintained springs with proven water quality will be created, as well as a map of the most visited springs.
Voting begins with a list of springs of the Penza Region on the project page rodniki.rgo.ru . You can choose a spring that will be improved in the future right now. To do this, go to the voting section and select one of the 10 springs from the list. Voting will also be open on the social networks of the RGS. The results will be summed up on May 15: the spring with the highest number of votes will be cleared and strengthened, benches for rest and wooden decking will be installed around.
One of the key tasks of the project is to check the condition of the water. The RGS experts will study the mineral composition of each of the 100 springs, the presence of toxic substances and microflora, including bacteria and microalgae. Appropriate information signs will be installed near the springs, containing the passport of the spring and the territory, as well as information about water quality.
In 2023, the geography of the project will affect 10 regions of Russia. The list of participants includes: Krasnoyarsk Territory, Moscow, Orenburg, Penza and Pskov Regions, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, Rostov, Sverdlovsk and Ulyanovsk Regions. In the future, the list will be supplemented by other regions of the country. The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
A series of environmental events aimed at raising public awareness and social activity in the field of environmental protection, the formation of an ecological worldview and culture will be held in addition to site improvements.
