Less than a week is left until the end of the acceptance of works for the VII Photo Contest of the Russian Geographical Society "The Most Beautiful Country". We are waiting for your photos until April 5th.

Entries are accepted in ten categories: "Landscape", "Wild Animals", "Those Funny Animals", "Russia from a Bird's Eye View", "Art of Wildlife (fine-art photography)", "Many Faces of Russia", "Taken on a Smartphone", "Photo project", "Live Archive" and "Magic of Water".

A separate competition is held for photographers under 16 years old - "The Most Beautiful Country through the Eyes of Children".

The jury of the competition will determine the winners at a meeting to be held in May-June 2021. Prizes for the winners are 250 thousand rubles in each category of the main competition and professional cameras for young photographers.

Also, within the framework of the Russian Geographical Society's photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country", a special prize of the Timchenko Foundation, "Russia in the Faces of the Older Generation", is waiting for its future owner. Works about the life of the elderly - portraits, reports, everyday sketches and other subjects – are welcome to compete for the prize. The winner will receive a cash prize of 150,000 rubles for organizing a photo expedition to small towns and villages in Russia. The results of the project will be presented on the online platforms of the Foundation and the Russian Geographical Society, the annual conference "Society for All Ages" and other events.

Maria Morozova, General Director of the Timchenko Foundation, noted that our older citizens share experience, knowledge and values to the younger generations – these are invisible threads that bind society, making us all closer and dearer.

"Thanks to the photography competition, we can look into the eyes of our elderly compatriots and feel of their personal stories. And, I hope, then we can understand and feel something important about ourselves. After all, this is not only about our past, but also about the future – our and our children future", said Maria Morozova.
