Schedule of film screenings in the Summer Cinema of the Fili Park:

The 14th of July 14 at 20:00 - a documentary "Gombozhab Tsybikov. Pilgrim of Special Purpose"(53 minutes).

In 1899, on instructions of the General Staff and the Russian Civil Society, a Russian citizen of Buryat origin, Gombojab Tsybikov, went alone on a risky three-year trip to Tibet and his capital, the "closed city" of Lhasa. On the political and economic maps of that time this country was a white spot. But its position on the "roof of the world" is aroused by the great interest of the superpowers - Russia and the United Kingdom, disputing each other's influence in Asia. The task of the traveler is to get information about a unique country, to make the first pictures of Lhasa in the world and to establish links that will help Russia in the implementation of its Asian policy. Interestingly, Tibetan photographs taken by Tsybikov in 1905 were glorified the little-known American scientific journal National Geographic.

The 28th of July 28 at 20:00 - a film from the series "The Bastions of Russia" - "Kerch" (43 minutes).

In 1861, Alexander II came to Kerch personally to check out one of the "main buildings of the nineteenth century." In the eastern Crimea, a giant fortress is built, which should protect the southern borders of the state. Such close attention of the monarch himself shows that this is not just a military object. The Kerch Fortress became one of the symbols of the radical changes taking place in Russia.

The 11th of August at 20:00 - a documentary film "Tuva: The Secular Brotherhood" (53 minutes).

Tuva is an ancient land of shamans, shepherds, nature spirits, legends and traditions.  Llittle or little is known in today's world about this republic, one of the last to join Russia. In the ring of rocky ridges there are hidden small glades of valleys, veins of ice rivers and lakes. In this mountain cup, as in an ancient treasure chest, the treasures of the Tuvan people - ancient traditions, beliefs and way of life - are preserved.

The 25th of August 25 at 20:00 - a film from the cycle "Big Water" - "Yenisei" (43 minutes).

Yenisei is a symbol of boundless Siberia. He is like a mighty mythical dragon stretched for thousands of kilometers. Its tail lies in the south of Siberia in the spurs of the Sayan Mountains, and its head rests in the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean. This is the owner of the Siberian nature, majestic and indestructible. His heart is a powerful engine of power plants. And the soul is the storehouse of many ancient legends.

At the film screenings, the RGS will be interesting to both adults and the smallest spectators. Travel around Russia with us!
