On December 20, 2014 the All-Russian Union of Entrepreneurs «Leaders Club» starts an expedition to Antarctica. For the first time in the modern history Russian entrepreneurs will effect an ascent of Mount Vinson - the highest peak in Antarctica.

Members of the expedition will test the Russian high-tech equipment in extreme cold conditions, and carry out a series of scientific experiments. So, their plan for New Year's Eve is to carry out sessions with the International Space Station, the icebreaker in the waters of the Arctic Ocean and the Russian camps at the North Pole.

Wireless bridges between the North and the South Poles in the absence of satellite and cellular communication will clearly demonstrate that Russian radio equipment is of the highest level of reliability and information security.

During the preparation the expedition members in cooperation with the Innovation Centre of Russian Olympic Committee will hold a series of studies to determine the physical effeciency and resistance to hypoxia. In particular a unique method of preparation to hypoxic conditions of highlands will be developed.

The initiative is being supported at the highest level: Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with the leader of the expedition Artem Avetisyan, the chairman of the Leaders Club promised to personally get in touch with the members of the expedition when they conquest the peak of Vinson. The expedition is also supported by the Russian Geographical Society, mountaineering club "Seven Summits", the Russian Mountaineering Federation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The main sponsor of the project is Vnesheconombank.

The return of members of the expedition to Moscow is scheduled for January 5, 2015.
