In 2022, everyone will have the opportunity to take part in the Geographical Dictation at its central venue – the Moscow Headquarters of the Russian Geographical Society – while being physically located anywhere in the world. Up to 10,000 people will be able to test their knowledge of geography remotely.
To participate in the Geographical Dictation at the central venue, you need to register first.
Access to the questions of the Dictation will be through a personal link that the organizers will send to all registered users.
The link will be valid only on October 30, from 12:00 to 13:00 Moscow time. By clicking it, the participants will be able to fill out a questionnaire, receive an individual 13-digit form number (code); watch a video with a welcome speech by the host of the event, a virtual quiz, and an explanation of the rules; and also answer the questions of the Dictation simultaneously with watching a video presentation.
Please note: it is better to save the individual 13-digit code before starting the test. The number is a password that will allow you to return to answering the questions in the event of a connection disruption. The code will be displayed during the Dictation, as well as after it is completed. In the future, with its help, you will be able to find out your results.
The eighth Geographical Dictation of the Russian Geographical Society will take place on October 30 in Russia and abroad. It will be held in-person and remotely at specially organized venues, as well as online – on the event’s website dictant.rgo.ru. The Dictation will begin on October 30, at 12:00 local time at the in-person and remote venues. The online version of the Dictation will be available from 14:00, October 30 to 14:00, November 10 Moscow time.
