Throughout the summer of 2018, the Days of the Russian Geographical Society were traditionally held in the Russia capital's parks. Geographical holidays took place in the parks "Krasnaya Presnya", "Kuzminki", "Izmailovsky", in the Bauman Garden of Culture and Recreation, in the State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" and at the VDNKh. Everyone who wished took part in quizzes and geo-quests, listened to lectures, attended master classes and film screenings, and admired the RGS photo exhibitions - “The Most Beautiful Country”.

“I like geography, so I try not to miss such thematic holidays of the Russian Geographical Society,” said schoolboy Yegor Kozhevnikov, one of the visitors of the Russian Geographical Society Day at VDNKh. His mother, Yulia Kozhevnikova, continues: “We come with educational goals. My son knows geography well largely thanks to the RGS. Your quizzes are not only knowledge, but also holidays.”

"We are glad that we got the chance to attend the Russian Geographical Society Day. We were very interested in a beautiful exhibition with views of our country. We hoped that such a thing would be at VDNKh every day. It turned out that this holiday is only for one day, and therefore we enjoy it today," shared her impressions Alla Kapkaeva, the guest of the holiday at VDNKh.

"We were just passing by. And now we are holding Vladivostok and Perm in our hands - we are putting together a spils-map. Interesting. There was geography at school. I want to believe that we have not forgotten everything!" - noted Yuri Sokolov at a geographic festival in Izmailovsky Park.
