On December 21, the third of a series of cultural and educational events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office in Murmansk took place within the framework of the project of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Murmansk Region supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region.
A book published as part of the project was presented during the event. The book was prepared jointly with the regional supervisory authority and the Global Media agency under the editorship of the Prosecutor of the Murmansk region, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class Sergey Pavolin. The total circulation amounted to 670 copies.
Maxim Fomin, Deputy Prosecutor of the Kola district, opened the event with an introductory speech. He spoke about the role of the Prosecutor's Office in society and ensuring law and order in the state. Maxim Fomin noted the importance of the published book, which reflects the milestones in the history of the supervisory authority of Russia and the Murmansk region.
Then Denis Moiseev, Chairman of the Murmansk Regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, presented the project “Celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Russia”, aimed at promoting patriotic feelings and civic engagement and raising awareness among young people about the activities and history of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
Sergey Goncharov, a member of the Council of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, adviser to the Governor of the Murmansk Region, noted the importance of such projects.
The project became one of the winners in the grant competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk region. The main goal of the project was to show the historical role of the Prosecutor's office in the formation of state apparatus in Murmansk. The Murmansk Regional Branch of the RGS studied its activities in the framework of research on the history of the Kola Arctic.
At the end of the event, 3 copies of the book were presented to the Inter-Settlement Library of the Kola district.
At the request of the library staff, Chairman of the Murmansk regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society Denis Moiseev, member of the Council of the Branch, adviser to the Governor Sergey Goncharov, Deputy prosecutor of the Kola district Maxim Fomin left on one copy of the book memorable notes and signatures.
