Employee's Day is a professional holiday of those who work at the Prosecutor's Office of Russia. It is celebrated annually on January 12. It is the Prosecutor's Office that guards the law and order, preserves the legal foundations of our state, and protects the interests of society.
The date choice for the holiday was no accident. On January 12, 1722, Emperor Peter I signed a decree on the establishment of the post of Prosecutor General, thus creating the Institute of the Russian Prosecutor's Office.
The Prosecutor's office of the Murmansk region was created on August 25, 1922. On this day, the first prosecutor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Ivanov, issued an order: “On the basis of the decree of the Presidium of the Murmansk Regional Executive Committee of August 25, the Murmansk Regional Department of Justice is abolished from the mentioned date, instead of it the Regional Prosecutor's Office represented by the the People's Prosecutor of the region A. Ivanov is formed".
Last year, the Murmansk Regional Branch of the RGS implemented a project dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Murmansk region. The project had received the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region and was implemented jointly with the Global Media agency, one of the leaders of the region in the publishing sector. Within the framework of the project, the book “300 years of Protecting the Law” was published and a series of educational events were held.
The Murmansk Regional Branch of the RGO congratulates the leadership and staff of the Prosecutor's Office of the Murmansk region on their professional holiday! Your activities to stop injustice, bribery and lawlessness, to ensure security in our country cannot be overestimated. We wish you good health, well-being and success in all your endeavors!
